FAVOURITES
YSL arty metal ring, Acne Admire wedges, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.
Three of my favourite items. Even though they are a tad more expensive than other things I own, they are definitely worth their costs. I get so much more joy out of buying one expensive thing than I get from buying several high street items. I rarely splurge as much money now than what I did before, since I've sort of taught myself not to buy a garnment if I don't need it, or if I'm not utterly in love with it.

TOMMY TON
I always look forward to spring and fall, due to one simple reason: It's fashion week season. During these happenings, street style photographers pop up from everywhere, but no one beats Tommy Ton. He's present at every single fashion week, and he is a master at capturing the essence of street- and personal style. I always get inspired by his photos.

GREY MICE IS IN THE KARI VOCABULARY. LEARN IT OR LEAVE THE BLOG
Hey SHOE RAPISTS,
I have a question for Kari about studying fashion journalism at LCF. I want to apply in December for that course, but please be honest, is it worth it?! Are you enjoying it/is it giving you good enough experience and insight into the fashion journalism industry?
A boring question I know, but I really want to do an english thats going to be influenced a lot by fashion, and its pretty inspiring when you see someone doing that course who also has a blog!

Your question isn't boring at all, but I'm not sure I can answer you that well at the moment because the school starts next week! But trust me - DO IT INSTEAD OF REGRETTING YOU DIDN'T DO IT WHEN YOU'RE 50! AT LEAST THEN YOU'VE TRIED! I went to London partly because I was so sick being surrounded by people (I call them grey mice) who look at you as you're a freak if you dare to be different. In London, you can truly BE WHO EVER YOU WANT TO BE!
I went to London College of Fashion on tuesday to enroll. I got to meet Brenda Polan, the director of the Fashion Journalism course. Polan is a freelance for The Guardian and has a huge experience with the media and fashion. She has also been working as a journalist in The Financial Times. In other words - this is the best people from the industry in Europe (in my opinion) who teach in fashion! IT'S A PRIVILEGE FOR ME TO HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY.
Though I haven't started yet, I'm sure it's going to give me a lot of insight in the industry! When I start, I can give you a more detailed answer about the teaching part. But in my opinion, this is not an education or industry for people who like fashion - YOU MUST LOVE IT, FEEL IT AND DARE TO TOUCH IT!

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Høsten begynner å smyge seg på, men jeg liker det. Denne årstiden må være min favorittsesong, sett i fra et moteperspektiv i alle fall. Om sommeren er det ofte for varmt til at kreativiteten er på topp, og om vinteren kan det bli så kaldt at alle lemmer fryser til is om man ikke kler seg i det varmeste man eier. Derfor liker jeg høsten så godt - den er en mellomting av varm og kald, slik at jeg fint kan leke mer med klær.

Uansett, velkommen til vår blogg! Jeg og Kari har lenge vurdert å opprette denne bloggen, og nå har vi altså slått til. Det er nesten litt surrealistisk å tenke på at Kari snart drar til London, men det skal bli gøy å høre om hennes nye liv som student. Jeg blir fortsatt boende på Orkanger, men er da likevel kapabel til å skrive et blogginnlegg eller to. So stay tuned!
