As every little girl, I wanted to be a princess when I was younger. A princess fully equipped with silky hair, a beautiful smile and an extravagant and pompous dress. A princess that practically didn't have anything to worry about, except the fresh graze on her knee or the peeled off nail polish on her tiny fingers. A princess that couldn't quite grasp the meaning of why she had to finish all her vegetables at dinner, or why she only was allowed to eat candy on Saturdays. These pictures are undoubtedly taking me back to those days. Good times.

These are my RULES!

1. VIP? Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, The Queen, Brad Pitt, Lady Gaga, Anna Wintour and so on. They are allowed to tell what they had for breakfast and where they are heading of the simple reason that their friends/followers CARE! They are people representing our TIME OF LIVING ON THE PLANET!

2. If you feel the need to expose your life, the need to UNDRESS IT, it’s evidence on lack of people in your life giving you SELF DECLARATION, VERIFICATION AND FEEDBACK. IT’S HUMULIATING.

3. It‘s pretentious. FAÇADE IS NOT INTERESTING. People of 2011 want REAL stories.

4. TECHNOLOGY IS AS FASHION - A CONSTANT ROLLER COASTER. It develops and changes IN A SECOND. It’s good to be in harmony with it, but don’t be NAIVE. New technology is prior to the HUMAN MIND. We don’t always know how to TREAT IT RIGHT UNTIL A DECADE AFTER IT’S RELEASED.

5. Mothers telling where they are HEADING WITH THEIR CHILDREN and revealing babies private facts IS THE WORSTE I SEE! TERRIBLE! IT’S BEING NAIVE, as well as underrating technology!

6. ULTRASOUND IMAGES? WHY DON’T YOU SHOW ME YOUR VAGINA AS WELL! IT’S AS PERSONAL AS IT GETS! ONLY TO BE SHARED WITH OUR DEARESTS!

7. Use the social network for what it’s worth. PROMOTE YOUR COMPANY, DON’T PROMOTE YOURSELF.

8. YOUR HUNGOVER IS NEVER DYNAMIC INFORMATION!

9. It’s a PRIVILEGE to live a materialistic life. To travel and see the world, eat great food and buy shoes. You can SHARE, BUT NOT SPLURGE. IT’S NOT A MATTER OF COURSE FOR EVERYONE!

10. Social networking is the GREATEST invention as an ABROAD STUDENT. I APPRECIATE TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO KEEP IN CONTACT WITH OLD FRIENDS!

SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE THROWING MY HANDS UP IN THE AIR

Last week I was asked if I wanted to be one of the models for a fashion show hosted by FRETEX UNIKA. (A Norwegian second hand store, for those who don't know). Of course I said yes! So, today I went to a fitting. Here is a tiny preview of the outfit I got; a light grey sparkling shirt (which I loved!) and a black bow tie-ish ting. This show is going to be fabulous!

LONG TIME NO SEE

After several days of partying and having fun, I am now back to basics again. I have been wearing the same clothes almost every day during the celebration, as it's tradition, but it will be great to finally go back to the FASHION STATE OF MIND! The last nineteen days I have neglected everything related to fashion, so it will be wonderful to wear lipstick and high heels again!

One big cake, a new pair of shoes, too many shoes to choose from, lack of a special dress and many amazing people equals my 20th birthday celebration here in London. We are heading to a French bistro for dinner before we go to the spectacular club Jalouse in Mayfair. It will be a very special night, I feel so happy to have amazing people around me. I wish you all a fabulous saturday, do something you will remember FOREVER. I hate people who think they have 10 lives.

ON MY 'MISS THE MOST' LIST

I immensely miss Norwegian magazines, journals, newspapers and literature. And no, the internet editions will never fulfil my longings. Internet will to me never be the same as to hold the book or newspaper physically in my hands. We talk a lot about this disastrous development at the univeristy. That's what I like about studying this topic, it is so CONTEMPORARY.


I highly recommend illustrated books for ya with the same mother tongue as me.

INTERNSHIP

I'm proud to tell you that I've got an internship at the millinery who I admire so much - PIERS ATKINSON, the designer behind Anna Dello Russo's, Rihanna's and Lady Gaga's head pieces.






It started when we met each other at uni, he was impressed I had done a golden cherry on my own. Later Piers asked me if I wanted any job experience in his company. I SCREAMED YES, OF COURSE!

Anna Dello Russo says she wears the cherries because she's Italian. I use the cherries mostly because I WANT TO SYMBOLIZE WHERE THE BALLS OF A GENTLEMAN SHOULD BE LOCATED.
