DIY: FROM STUDDED TO SIMPLE

Inspired by this idea, I decided to turn my studded Zara heels into a simple and minimalistic pair of shoes. After some cutting here and there, this is the result. I like them so much more now!

DIY: PATTERNED T-SHIRT

A piece of the fabric I bought turned into this t-shirt. I like the combination of the wide neckline, simple shape and bold pattern.

SEWING SOMETHING NEW

Bought some fabrics yesterday, so I'm going to spend some quality time with my sewing machine on this rainy Friday evening. New DIY's coming up soon!

DIY: PIMP YOUR BAG

All you need is a pair of scissors, super glue, a bag and a piece of fabric.

Basically, you just have to cut your fabric into the size you want, and then glue it on the bag's flap. I had to fasten the fabric with my sewing machine as well, because apparently, my super glue wasn't all that super. And voliá:

Your bag now looks like this! A really easy DIY, perfect to do on boring sundays when you have no reasonable things to spend your time on.

DIY: CUT OUT

This blazer from Theyskens' Theory inspired me to cut out the back from an old blazer I rarely wear. I'm pretty sure it's going to be worn a lot more now!

I think I'm having some kind of DIY-kick these days. Anyway, I wanted to sew a colourful skirt, and which fabric could be more suitable than this one? The fish print is amazing, not to mention amusing!

My latest DIY-project; a blue bag inspired by Jil Sander, and a red oversized clutch. Super easy to sew! I think I want these in every existing colour.

A white shirt + a piece of white leather = this! Super easy to do if you want to make a simple shirt look more interesting.

TUTTI FRUTTI

Today I received a box of fruits which I ordered some days ago. I'M GOING TO MAKE HATS FOR THIS SEASON, WHICH IF FULL OF TASTY FRUITS!

I DID IT MYSELF! ANNA DELLO RUSSO'S CHERRY HAT

I fell so hard for this cherry hat immediately after I saw Anna Dello Russo wearing it. The creator is Piers Atkinson for Alan Journo, but as it costs £250 and the fact that I'm a student - I have to improvise. I believe improvising is evidence of passion for fashion.



"During the fashion tour, many people asked me why I was wearing my CHERRY or WATER MELON hat. Why not?” - ADR.

And this is my very own head band:





To make it you need: two polystyrene balls(the bigger the BETTER!), red paint, needle and green thread, glue, one head band, string and a sheet of green rubber (naturally I chose the one with glitter). I bought all of it at the arts and crafts shop Panduro (they have a fab student discount on 15%).
To wear it you need: Desire! Gut! FUN!

Believe me, I'll mix the hat with an outfit and post it to you guys later.

Anyway. I can tell you that coming home for xmas was a delight. But of course, it's weird at the same time. My nieces have been changing a lot and it kills my heart that I haven't been here while they have. Seeing the warm faces of my mum and dad.. Indescribable. I believe I could write a whole book of the phenomenon coming home as a student, to your best friends and to a refrigerator that is full!

EXTRAVAGANT/BLURRY/TULLE

A lot of red thread, six meters of tulle and a couple of days later, this is the result! The skirt came out exactly how I wanted it to be. Big, bold and poofy. Now I just have to wait for the weekend to arrive!

SUNSHINE, LONG DAYS AND SHORT NIGHTS

Ah, how I miss summer during these horrendously cold days. I miss this DIY skirt as well.. Was so pleased with it. That is, I still have it, but I wore it at a party once.. And it sort of died. Too bad. Anyway, I'm going to start on a new DIY project very soon! It will consist of a lot of red tulle. Six meters to be exact. Can't wait to show you when it's done!

I once saw this blogger with a fabulous fish-shaped clutch, and I just had to try making one myself. Hah! I love putting fashion and humor together. The result turned out to be a little bit scruffy, but that's just charming. I'm picturing it as the perfect ice breaker at a party or something!

Just another self-made thing. Inspired by the Proenza Schouler PS1 bag. I haven't quite decided whether I should put on a shoulder strap or not yet, but time will show. What do you think?

DIY, part 2

So, there you have it! My white leather clutch. I'm very satisfied. It was super easy to sew as well! Will look good as a contrast to any dark outfit. You can't really see the actual size here, but more pictures of this clutch will probably pop up later on.
